Youssef Idelcaid

Biography

Youssef Idelcaid is Executive Director and Head of the AI Research Center at Gilead Sciences, where he leads the application of artificial intelligence across clinical research and drug development. Born in Morocco and raised in France, Youssef brings a global perspective shaped by life and work across Europe and the United States. He views diversity of experience as a catalyst for innovation, inclusion, and better decision-making. Youssef is passionate about using AI to accelerate the development of medicines and improve patient outcomes. He also contributes to AI policy and industry collaborations through organizations such as BIO and PhRMA.
