Biography

Simone Ashley Tyler is a dynamic media professional with over a decade of experience in media, community engagement, and platform building. As the Senior Vice President of AfroTech and Live Events at Blavity, Inc., Simone has become a leading voice in promoting diversity in the tech industry and highlighting the contributions of Black technologists. Simone's passion for impactful media began early on. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Business from Howard University, Simone led launch teams for several prominent media outlets, including Tribune Media and Politico, in Washington, DC. Her partnerships earned her recognition in the DC politics scene while she spearheaded a wide range of growth campaigns. Simone is an LA Native with a commitment to giving back to her community. She partnered with various organizations to develop programs that aim to transform the landscape of access through music, real estate and wellness initiatives. Throughout her career, Simone has proven to be a dynamic and influential leader, committed to driving meaningful change and creating lasting impact in the communities she serves. Her dedication to excellence and passion for well-being and inclusion have earned her widespread respect and recognition in the industry, making her a true trailblazer and inspiration to many.
