Alyssa Wisdom
Director of Analytics, DoorDash
Track AI Edge Training, Product&Design
Biography
Alyssa Wisdom leads data science and analytics for DoorDash's Core Consumer experience, a team of roughly 20 people owning the surfaces millions of people use to discover, search, and order, and one that drives roughly $XB in incremental Gross Order Value. Her work sits at the intersection of AI, experimentation, and decision-making at scale. Lately that has meant putting large language models into production and building a causal platform that estimates, for any customer, what a particular action is actually worth to the business. The throughline across all of it: turning ambiguous questions into measurable signals that change what we build.
Sessions
Measured and Made: Building AI People Actually Use Presented by DoorDash, Inc.
Tue, Nov 3, 11:55 AM – 12:25 PM CT
Track AI Edge Training
A data leader from DoorDash and a design leader from Deliveroo (a DASH company) in conversation about building AI that people actually use. Felicia Williams (Senior Director, Product Design, Deliveroo) and Alyssa Wisdom (Director, Analytics, DoorDash) discuss the decisions behind shipped AI — what they chose not to build, where the data led them, and who gets considered when those calls are made. Includes an exploration of Ask DoorDash from both disciplines and an audience Q&A.
Think Global, Design Local: Building Great Experiences for the People Behind the Product Presented by DoorDash, Inc.
Wed, Nov 4, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM CT
Track Product&Design
Product thinking doesn’t live in the product org. It lives wherever someone decides what an experience should feel like — and that includes the teams most people never think to call “product.” The office you walk into. The policy that meets you on your hardest day at work. The app setting that finally makes a screen readable. In this session, leaders from Employee Relations, Workplace, and Data Science make the case that they’ve been shipping products all along. They’ll get specific about who their users really are, how they hear from the people whose needs are easiest to overlook, and what it takes to hold a global standard without flattening local reality — including how accessibility research led to Dark Mode on the DoorDash app, a quiet but meaningful win for low-vision users. Come for the panel. Leave with a lens you can use Monday morning.
